Hi Jenée. What a beautiful response — thank you for your honesty and vulnerability.
I find it remarkable that you are so aware of your own challenges, and that you are so intentional about bringing this feeling of connection into your life. I feel really moved and inspired by your words!
I think that, in the end, the only thing that matters is exactly that: that we are aware of our own potential and limitations, so that we can push ourselves enough but without being overwhelmed.
I see that you have a fear of missing out on deeper connections due to how challenging it is for you to look into other people’s eyes. However, you also mentioned that you have managed to build close personal relationships without it.
I guess that we all struggle with something. For me, physical touch is more of a challenge. However, I acknowledge it, and whenever it feels right, I take small steps to conquer my fears. Pushing my boundaries little by little, without jamming my way through them.
The more aware you are of your fear, the more you will learn about what’s behind it, because your curiosity (or frustration, or desire to change) will make you ask questions and find answers. The more you discover what’s behind that fear or challenge, the more clarity you will have, and the solutions will come naturally. At least that’s what I believe.
In any case, I am grateful for what you wrote. Thank you for sharing, and thank you for offering the world a precious glimpse of your inner world.
